Week 2 of the NFL season can't come soon enough as the NFL has endured one of its toughest weeks in league history, with the league losing the public relations battle in a big way during the week.

With little time remaining before the 1 p.m. ET kickoffs, here are some last-minute game day notes worth knowing.

Notable Line Movements

Minnesota Vikings +5.5 vs. New England Patriots

Team Opening Line Current Line Action
Patriots -3 -5.5 80%
Vikings +3 +5.5 20%

This line opened with the Patriots installed as 3-point favorites, and despite the public getting in heavily on the Patriots, the line remained at three, with the price even shading towards the Vikings.

With the Adrian Peterson news breaking on Friday, the line came off the board and eventually was bumped up to a full touchdown, and while the public continues to pound the Patriots, the number has come down to 5.5.

The sharps certainly see something they like in the Vikings.

Kansas City Chiefs +11.5 at Denver Broncos

Team Opening Line Current Line Action
Chiefs +12.5 +11.5 28%
Broncos -12.5 -11.5 72%

Sharps have been eager to fade the Chiefs, but it seems they're buying in on the Broncos' inability to maintain big margins. The majority of action has come in on the Broncos, but the line has shaded the other way.

New York Jets +7.5 at Green Bay Packers

Team Opening Line Current Line Action
Jets +8 +7.5 27%
Packers -8 -7.5 73%

The Packers have always been a public team, so it's not surprising to see them taking in 73 percent of plays in this contest. What is surprising, is that some influential folks seem to be backing the Jets, as the line has dropped a half point since opening with the Pakcers as 8-point favorites.
