  • This is the final week before the regular season, and if your fantasy league has waited this long, you should be more than prepared for your upcoming draft. Quarterback strategy can be broken down very simply. If you don't want to gambling with the position, you'll spend an early round pick on an elite passer like Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, or Drew Brees. If you skip out on the safety of that top tier, you'll need to have a plan to secure a quarterback you believe in or your team might be out of contention before the season even starts.
  • Russell Wilson has looked phenomenal in the preseason and people have started to take notice, but he can still be had in the ninth round or later in most drafts. He has been a top-10 fantasy quarterback in his first two seasons and Year 3 will be his best yet.
  • Is Robert Griffin III trying to lower our expectations, so he can surprise us in the regular season? The only surprise so far, is how poorly he has played in Washington's new offense. He will likely be falling in drafts this week, so if you still believe in RG3, you will get him at a bargain.
  • I have Josh McCown ranked higher than most and although I was worried about the interior of the Buccaneers offensive line, their trade for Logan Mankins should help. His presence on the line will benefit Doug Martin more than McCown, but the offense as a whole will be more productive, as long as Mankins isn't too homesick for New England.
  • Jake Locker and Ryan Tannehill are young quarterbacks, who have a chance to take a leap forward in 2014. Locker appeared to be doing that last season, before injuries struck. Tannehill has all the skills and now might finally have an offensive coordinator to help him reach his potential. Both quarterbacks make for good late round fliers.
