Report: Seahawks cut NFLPA president Eric Winston

The president of the National Football League Players Association, Eric Winston, is out of a job.
Not his job with the union, but rather his position with a team. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Seattle Seahawks have released the veteran offensive tackle.
As Schefter notes, some analysts predicted Winston would earn the Seahawks' starting right tackle job. Instead, he won't even serve as a backup for the team.
Winston, 30, struggled badly last season, and his failure to catch on with a team this preseason could indicate his career as a player is nearly over. He has a promising career ahead of him off the field.
