Jets announce release of 6th-round quarterback Tajh Boyd

The New York Jets made a dozen selections in May's draft, and there was always a very remote possibility that all of the rookies would make the team.

One who officially won't is sixth-round pick Tajh Boyd. The team announced the release of the former Clemson quarterback Saturday. 

Boyd failed to impress at training camp or in the preseason, completing just eight of 17 pass attempts for 98 yards in the Jets' four exhibition contests.
