Report: Seahawks designate Lynch; work out 3 running backs
Matthew Emmons / USA TODAY Sports
The Seattle Seahawks are preparing for life without running back Marshawn Lynch.
Pete Carroll reportedly worked out three runners Saturday and opened a roster slot by placing Lynch on the reserve/did not report list, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun.
Orwin Smith, William Powell and Phillip Tanner - each with limited NFL experience - showcased for Seahawks brass, per Wilson's source.
Lynch attended the team's mandatory spring minicamp, but has yet to report for training camp in protest of his current contract.
He is set to earn $5 million this season and $5.5 million in 2015.
