Vikings' Adrian Peterson: Begins light running

Peterson (knee) has started to do some light running, a source told Pro Football Talk.

Analysis:

Peterson had surgery in late September to repair a torn meniscus, which usually requires 3-to-4 months of recovery. Vikings athletic trainer Eric Sugarman said Peterson wasn't ready to run in early November, but it sounds like he's starting to make progress. However, it's still not clear if he'll be able to return before the end of the regular season.
