Trump says Brady voted for him; Brady says he hasn't voted yet
Donald Trump appeared to have secured the votes of the New England Patriots' most valuable assets.
On the eve of the presidential election, Trump said Tom Brady called him to say he voted for the Republican nominee.
"'Donald, I support you. You're my friend and I voted for you,'" Trump quoted Brady as saying, according to Ben Jacobs of the Guardian, while speaking at a rally Monday evening in Manchester, N.H.
However, Brady contradicted that claim earlier Monday.
"No, I haven't voted yet," Brady said on WEEI 93.7 FM.
Early voting in Massachusetts ended Friday, so if Brady's account is to be believed, he still needs to cast his vote on Tuesday.
Trump also said Patriots head coach Bill Belichick wrote him a letter praising his tenacity and leadership.
"'You've proved to be the ultimate competitor and fighter. Your leadership is amazing,'" Trump read from the letter, according to Buzzfeed's Rosie Gray.
