Titans' Marcus Mariota: Bounces back in win over Dolphins
Mariota completed 20 of 29 passes for 163 yards and three touchdowns while also contributing 60 yards and a touchdown on seven carries in Sunday's win over the Dolphins.
Analysis:
Mariota hadn't produced a touchdown in two weeks, but broke out of his funk in a big way by tying his career high with four total scores. The second-year quarterback took matters into his own hands on Tennessee's first scoring drive, showcasing his scrambling ability on a five-yard touchdown run. He would add a passing score to Andre Johnson from the same distance later, before topping off his best half of the season with a 20-yard touchdown toss to Delanie Walker. Mariota wasn't asked to do much in the second half with the Titans sitting on a lead, but did manage to connect with Rishard Matthews for his third passing touchdown of the afternoon in the fourth quarter. The Titans set a new season high in points for the second consecutive week, so they're trending in the right direction heading into next week's meeting with the winless Browns.
