Cowboys' Morris Claiborne: Leads NFL in completion percentage allowed

Claiborne leads the NFL in completion percentage allowed among all cornerbacks who have been targeted 20 or more times this season, The Ft. Worth Star-Telegram reports. "I just think his confidence is growing every day," Cowboys defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli said. "But he's practicing. He's on the field every day. We know he's got talent. That's never been the issue. But now he's out there every single day working. He's on top of the details, all those things. As a player, when you have talent like that, and when you put together kind of the grind and the work, the improvement starts showing."

Analysis:

Opposition QBs have thrown Claiborne's way 24 times through three games, but he's allowed just nine catches for 90 yards and no touchdowns. It's been quite a career resurgence so far in 2016 for the oft-injured corner, but if he can keep it up and stay healthy, he'll be headed for a big payday in the offseason as he's currently on just a one-year deal with Dallas.
