Dolphins' Ryan Tannehill: Struggles throughout forgetable Week 4 performance

Tannehill completed 15 of 25 passes for 189 yards with a touchdown and interception in Thursday's 22-7 loss to the Bengals. He took five sacks and lost a fumble as well.

Analysis:

The stark reality of a complete absence of an NFL-caliber running attack smacked Tannehill and the Dolphins in the face in this one, as the Bengals seemed largely unconcerned with Miami's ground game. Instead, they pinned their ears back and came after Tannehill, who was harassed frequently in addition to the five takedowns he endured. The highlight of the fifth-year pro's evening -- and that of the team as a whole for that matter -- was a pretty 74-yard scoring connection to a wide open Kenny Stills in the first quarter. Besides the typically reliable Jarvis Landry, who hauled in 70 percent of his 10 targets, Tannehill only completed two other passes to a receiver after that early bomb, both of which went to DeVante Parker. Tannehill and the Dolphins will now have 10 days to prepare for a rebound in a Week 5 home date with the Titans.
