New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham tweeted a curiously defensive quote on Monday, hours after head coach Ben McAdoo told reporters his star pass-catcher needed to be "less of a distraction."

Beckham was oddly emotional on the sidelines during Sunday's loss to the Washington Redskins, shown visibly crying and slamming a kicking net - which then hit rebounded and hit him in the head.

McAdoo told reporters that while Beckham did a good job keeping his cool between the lines, he needed to tone down his sideline antics.

"Emotionally on the sideline in between the series, he needs to do a better job. That's all of our responsibilities, mine included. But he needs to control his emotions better and be less of a distraction to himself and his teammates. It's our job to help him with that process."
