Broncos' Ware says Miller is being a 'bigger leader'

Denver Broncos linebacker DeMarcus Ware said Von Miller is taking on a larger leadership role upon returning to the team with genuine celebrity status.

Miller became a household name after winning Super Bowl MVP honors and was perpetually in the spotlight, starring on "Dancing With the Stars," hosting "Saturday Night Live," and attending Kanye West's release party for "The Life of Pablo," among other events.

Although Miller boasted a jam-packed calendar, he's returned with an unmatched, intense gaze, according to his teammate.

"I've been watching Von this whole offseason and he's a different guy," Ware said of Miller on Tuesday to ESPN's Jeff Legwold. "Yeah, he did all of the 'Dancing With the Stars' and all of the other stuff and traveled around the world, but when he came back, he was a lot more focused. He got a lot of that out of his system and now you can tell by the tenacity and how he brings it to the field and practice."

Ware said Miller's become a more vocal leader during the offseason, and the duo will be counted on to play a major role in the Broncos' title defense.

"The leadership also - he's being a bigger leader and vocal guy," Ware said. "Usually he doesn't talk that much on the field, but he's actually been a lot more vocal out there and now we're tag-teaming ... It just feels great to have a guy like that."

Denver won Super Bowl 50, boasting arguably one of the greatest defenses of all time. With Miller at the forefront, the Broncos will be poised to haunt opposing units during the upcoming season.
