Jaguars' Ramsey has spent a lot of money on shoes since being drafted

Jalen Ramsey has been using his rookie paychecks to build a sizable shoe collection, which may explain this sad excuse for a meal he shared on Twitter in July.

In an interview with Clay Skipper of GQ, the Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback revealed how many pairs of shoes he's purchased since being drafted in April.

"I've really been spoiling myself with shoes lately. I need to stop but I'm seriously addicted to shoes," Ramsey said. "It's probably in the 30s to 50s range, the number of pairs I've gotten since the draft.

"I keep all the shoes I can get in the world. I didn't use to really dress up too too much, but I've ventured out to getting dress shoes and nice casual shoes to wear and things like that, which I usually wouldn't have done because I didn't have the money to do. Now I do. So I've gotten a little fancy."

As for his dinner tweet, Ramsey said it was meant as a joke. He did get a lot of free candy out of it, though.

"Mike and Ike's sent me tons of candy because they were like, 'We're glad you love candy. Hopefully this will last you the camp.' Skittles sent me a bunch," he said. "All the candy I've gotten will probably last me and all the defensive backs in the DB room until the first three weeks of the season at least."
