Miller's no QB scout, but thinks Broncos can win regardless of starter

The Denver Broncos announced that Trevor Siemian will start at quarterback in their second preseason game on Thursday, but that doesn't really matter to Von Miller.

When reporters asked for his thoughts on the team's quarterback competition, Miller admitted he doesn't really know as much about the position as he lets on. He says it doesn't help that the two quarterbacks he's had to work with were essentially polar opposites.

"I watched Peyton Manning for like five years and before him I had Tim Tebow. So it's not like I have a whole lot of quarterbacks to compare and contrast," Miller told reporters. "As much as I like to admit I've got all the quarterback knowledge, I really don't.

"Honestly, it's really not much that I can say. All the arms look good, footwork looks nice. They throw pretty tight spirals."

While the star outside linebacker's lack of quarterback scouting ability was exposed, he says all three competing players - Mark Sanchez, Trevor Siemian, and Paxton Lynch - have his confidence.

"I like all of them. I feel like we can win with all three," said Miller. "I feel like whichever one wins the starting position, we can win with. I'm comfortable and confident with all three of those guys. They're all great."
