Texans' Brock Osweiler: So-so in preseason opener

Osweiler completed 4-of-7 passes for 27 yards in Houston's preseason opening win over San Francisco.

Analysis:

Osweiler directed the team's first three drives, but did not generate any points despite moving into 49ers territory twice. It's not a great start to the Osweiler era, but this is a revamped offense with several new skill pieces, so there will be some time needed to develop chemistry. The positive spin is that the Texans got some film to review and they can adjust as necessary.
