To say J.J. Watt consumes a lot of food in a day would be an understatement.

In an interview with GQ's Luke Darby, the 6-foot-5, 289-pound Houston Texans defensive end broke down his 5,000-plus calorie diet, which consists of six meals per day. Eating has basically become a full-time job for Watt.

"It sounds weird when you complain about having to eat so much, but it's like a job," he said. "I eat two breakfasts, two lunches, and two dinners throughout the day. It's always eating."

Watt's day starts off with a 900-calorie breakfast of oatmeal and a half-dozen eggs, followed by a second breakfast a few hours later that includes another four or five eggs. That's nearly a carton of eggs every day.

Here's what Watt's real-life diet looks like:

Breakfast
Oatmeal with blueberries and strawberries
Six eggs
Banana and apple

Second breakfast
Four eggs
Two slices of wheat toast with peanut butter and banana and honey
Two slices of wheat toast with jelly

Lunch
Three chicken breasts with whole wheat pasta and Italian dressing
Side of broccoli

Second lunch
More chicken breasts with mashed sweet potatoes
Steamed carrots

Dinner
Lamb chops with whole wheat pasta
Grilled asparagus

Second dinner
Filet with whole wheat pasta
Steamed broccoli

Insanity.
