Ryan invites 'rascal' LeBron to play tight end for Bills

The Buffalo Bills didn't reach the playoffs, as Rex Ryan guaranteed in 2015, so the fiery coach is looking outside the box for some new additions to get an edge.

Particularly, LeBron James.

"I don't know a whole lot about (basketball)," Ryan told ESPN's Mike Rodak on Wednesday, "but that big ol' rascal can come play tight end for us, if he wants to.

"I think it would work out well. You look at him. He's physical. Unbelievable. Look at the range. There's nobody that can cover him. There's no way you can cover him. Fast, physical. We'll give it a shot."

James played football in high school and showed potential to be a dominant receiver if he chose the gridiron over the hardcourt.

Ryan doesn't have a huge need at tight end as starter Charles Clay was the Bills' second-leading receiver last season with 528 yards on 51 catches, but the offense could use another weapon after finishing 28th in passing.

Bills linebacker - and apparent Cleveland Cavaliers fan - Preston Brown certainly wouldn't have any objections to adding "King James" to the roster.
