Chargers' Bosa seemingly not a fan of Watt comparisons

San Diego Chargers rookie pass rusher Joey Bosa has one request: just let him be him.

Bosa's mildly cryptic tweet may have been precipitated by Tuesday's article from NFL.com on with the headline, "Joey Bosa ticketed to play J.J. Watt role for San Diego Chargers."

Throughout the draft process, Bosa was compared to Watt, the Houston Texans defensive end and three-time Defensive Player of the Year, perhaps because they have a similar style of play but surely also because they look alike.

But is it really a fair comparison? On one hand we have a player who has yet to play a down of professional football, on the other we have a surefire Hall of Famer.

And is Bosa's style really that similar to Watt's? He's 20 pounds lighter, less explosive according to his combine measurables, and is much more of a pure edge rusher than Watt, who is a natural 3-4 defensive end who can eat up blockers as well as rush the passer.

Bosa should be a very good pro. The Chargers clearly believe he will be, since they used the third overall pick to nab him. But comparing him to Watt might be a bit of a stretch at this point.
