The Chicago Bears were unable to capture star defensive end Malik Jackson during free agency, so they apparently are turning to the next best thing: Jackson's identical twin brother, Marquis.

Jackson is set to work out for the Bears on Saturday and Sunday.

"We had him in at Denver one time and he was in a suit sitting in our lunch room. Everybody was looking around going, 'Malik, what are you doing in a suit?'" Bears head coach John Fox said, according to Patrick Finley of the Sun-Times. "So I've met him before. That's a big reason why we brought him in."

Jackson hasn't had the footballing success his brother - who signed a six-year, $90-million contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars this offseason - has enjoyed.

After bouncing from college to college, Jackson was briefly signed by the Minnesota Vikings in 2013, but was cut during preseason of that year. He most recently featured for the Portland Thunder in the Arena Football League.

The 26-year-old is listed at 6-foot-4, 255 pounds, and Fox is hoping he can replicate the play of his brother.

"That's why he is here,” Fox said. "I guess we'll see."
