Laremy Tunsil's dramatic fall Thursday night was arguably one of the most bizarre stories in draft history.

The entire NFL world was enthralled after Tunsil's social media account was hacked and a video of him smoking from a bong was posted minutes after the draft began. Commissioner Roger Goodell, however, was apparently completely in the dark throughout the opening half of the first round.

Goodell said in an interview Friday morning on ESPN's "Mike and Mike" show that he was unaware of Tunsil's situation, even when the 21-year-old was drafted by the Miami Dolphins with the 13th overall pick and came on stage to shake his hand.

The commissioner also had an interesting description of the event, considering the NFL's stance against marijuana use.

"I think it's all part of what makes the draft so exciting," Goodell said. "Clubs make decisions. Sometimes they take risks. Sometimes they do the right things. Sometimes they don't, and we'll see. Hopefully he is going to turn out to be a great young player."

Marijuana is a banned substance in the NFL, with players like Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon currently suspended indefinitely for using the drug.
