UCLA draft prospect Myles Jack is dealing with a chondral defect in his right knee, which is calling into question his long-term knee health, sources tell Albert Breer of NFL Network.

While Jack can play with the ailment, his career length could be cut short, leaving teams inside the top 10 wary of taking the explosive prospect, Breer reports.

It's unknown whether or not the chondral defect was caused by Jack's September injury. How significantly the issue will effect his stock is unclear with less than a week before the draft.

Jack's been the subject of much debate in the lead-up to the draft, with talent evaluators salivating over his raw potential, while team doctors have been tasked with figuring out his health risks.

Unlike similarly skilled Notre Dame linebacker Jaylon Smith, Jack's long-term knee health hasn't been openly reported as suspect until Sunday. Smith is expected to fall to the middle rounds after suffering nerve damage in a January knee injury.
