Eagles' Roseman: 'Sam Bradford is our starting quarterback'

The Philadelphia Eagles' blockbuster deal for the second overall pick in the draft won't affect Sam Bradford's standing as the team's starting quarterback.

"Let me be clear. Sam Bradford is our starting quarterback," Eagles executive vice president Howie Roseman declared shortly after news of the trade broke.

The question is for how long.

The Eagles will surely select a quarterback at No. 2, with Roseman saying the Eagles are "very sure we're going to get the player we want," and will do so with the idea he will eventually be a franchise quarterback.

Whether the selection is Jared Goff or Carson Wentz, it appears the team's plan is for the rookie to develop behind seventh-year pro Bradford.
