Dana White rips Jon Jones for cussing out police

UFC president Dana White, like most in the UFC, is not a fan of Jon Jones' latest incident.

Jones chose to use some not-so-kind words when being pulled over by police in New Mexico last week and was ticketed for five violations. Jones turned himself in to police Tuesday and was released from custody Thursday.

"It's the dumbest thing you could ever do, especially if you're in Jon Jones' position," White told TMZ. "I haven't talked to him obviously, he's been a little tied up since that happened.

"Let me tell you what, when I get pulled over by the police I am the most polite human being you've ever met in your life. There's no upside to talking back to the police."

Jones is still expected to compete in the headline fight at UFC 197 against Daniel Cormier, according to a statement from UFC.

It's unknown whether or not Jones will face any further discipline from the UFC, but White isn't expecting much to change with his star fighter.

"I don't think Jon Jones is ever going to be the Jon Jones people expect him to be," White said. "I think Jon's going to do Jon. I think Jon tried so hard to play the good guy for so long it drove him crazy. Jon is just going to be Jon now."
