Analysis:

Wieters served as the DH Thursday and got in a game for the first time in 12 days. He also threw on the side from 120 feet and could throw to bases in the coming days. It seems like the Orioles would rather place Wieters on the DL than keep him on the roster in a DH-only capacity. Wieters will not play in another Grapefruit League game unless he can catch so that the Orioles have the option to backdate his DL date.
