Dolphins owner: Miko Grimes contributed to team's decision to cut husband

Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross confirmed Tuesday that his team's decision to cut cornerback Brent Grimes was made in part because of the actions of Grimes' wife, Miko.

Miko's frequently profane social media outbursts have criticized the team (she called the Dolphins a "dumpster fire"), its players (she said quarterback Ryan Tannehill "stunk"), and the media (what she said is too objectionable to reproduce here).

"I think everybody knows what she represented," Ross said, according to Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post. "I thought it was best that the Dolphins move on from Brent and Miko."

It's incredibly rare for a spouse to be referenced in a statement about a former player - especially one by a team's owner. But Miko Grimes is certainly no typical NFL spouse.
