Don't look for the Los Angeles Rams to ditch the navy blue and gold they sported in St. Louis in favor of the royal blue and yellow they wore during their previous stint on the West Coast.

Rams executive vice president Kevin Demoff said the team is planning to change its attire, but not until 2019.

"I know there are fans that want to see us go back to our old L.A colors," Demoff told The Los Angeles Times. "It's not as simple as that."

"I don't particularly love our current uniforms - I know there are a lot of fans who feel that way," Demoff added. "But the thing that makes the most sense is to keep them in place for now."

The NFL has a lengthy process that requires teams to apply for a uniform change. Demoff said the Rams won't begin that process until 2017, which should put them on track to introduce new uniforms when their new stadium is completed for the 2019 season.

"Our focus has always been on introducing new uniforms the year we open a new stadium," he said. "That's the opportune time to shape your brand."

Fans of the old blue and yellow won't be left completely unsatisfied, however. The Rams have worn their old uniforms as throwbacks in recent years, and can continue wearing them for two games per season. They will also be permitted to wear special "Color Rush" uniforms for Thursday night games.
