Seahawks add to backfield with C.J. Prosise in 3rd round

Matt Cashore / USA TODAY Sports

The Seattle Seahawks have selected running back C.J. Prosise out of Notre Dame in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft, 90th overall.

With Thomas Rawls still working his way back from injury, Prosise could conceivably challenge for a significant role upon immediately joining Seattle's backfield rotation.

The former wide receiver was highly productive after making the position switch as a senior, recording 1,029 yards and 11 touchdowns on just 157 carries.
