Broncos throw shade at Osweiler with blatant subtweet
The Denver Broncos aren't happy that quarterback Brock Osweiler chose not to accept their contract offer and instead signed with the Houston Texans on a four-year, $72-million blockbuster.
The team made that much very clear by tweeting (or subtweeting, more accurately) this quote from general manager John Elway:
“We’ve stayed true to our philosophy, building w/ players who want to be here.” - Elway

The implication, obviously, is that Osweiler should have wanted to stick around with the Super Bowl champions, but for whatever reason didn't.
Osweiler said all the right things after the starting job was stripped of him in Week 17 and throughout the Broncos' Super Bowl run with Peyton Manning under center. Still, it's hard to imagine Osweiler didn't take personal offense - especially considering how shaky Manning's play was.
Indeed, it seems something may have irreparably damaged the relationship between Osweiler and the Broncos. According to Mike Klis of 9News, Osweiler stopped returning the phone calls of teammates and coaches in the past two weeks.
