Louis van Gaal will win an Oscar before Leonardo Di Caprio does.
On Sunday, hours before the 88th Academy Awards, Van Gaal submitted a late entry for the Actor in a Leading Role category, theatrically throwing himself to the ground to protest a decision to fourth official Mike Dean in the second half of Manchester United's 3-2 Premier League victory over Arsenal.
Van Gaal's performance came immediately after Ander Herrera was booked for fouling Alexis Sanchez, which suggests the Dutch manager believed the Chilean forward was guilty of embellishment.
If Van Gaal goes down, his iconic notebook goes down with him.
