Bosa says he's best player in draft, dodges questions about suspension
Ohio State defensive lineman Joey Bosa, considered by many analysts to be a candidate to go first overall to the Tennessee Titans, said Friday he's the right choice for the top pick.
"I do believe I am the best player in the draft," Bosa told reporters at the scouting combine. "It will be up to Tennessee to decide."
Bosa said he's versatile enough to play in a 4-3 or 3-4 scheme, but admitted he would be more comfortable in a 4-3.
The Titans use a 3-4 base alignment on defense.
Quizzed about why he was among four players suspended for Ohio State's opener in 2015, Bosa was evasive.
"I'm going to discuss that with teams one-on-one," was the only answer Bosa offered.
Bosa joked that facing tough questions from the media is easy compared to getting grilled by NFL front-office members in private team interviews.
"After meeting with a bunch of NFL coaches, you guys are nothing," he quipped.
