With free agency just around the corner, theScore takes a look at the top available players at each position. Unrestricted free agents can officially sign at 4 p.m. ET on March 9.

Offensive tackles

Donald Penn

Height: 6'4"
Weight: 315 lbs.
Age: 32

Penn proved that he's still got plenty left to offer, putting together a highly productive two-year stint with the Raiders after getting cut in Tampa Bay. Though he's expressed his desire to remain in Oakland, the team no longer appears set on retaining his services before he has the chance to test free agency. He could prove to be an important short-term addition for a team looking to address its pass protection on the blind side.

Potential landing spots: Carolina Panthers, San Diego Chargers, Pittsburgh Steelers

Russell Okung

Height: 6'5"
Weight: 310 lbs.
Age: 28

One of the few knocks against Okung is the relative difficulty he's had staying on the field. He's missed a total of 21 games now six years into his NFL career, and has yet to put together a full 16-game season. He's still quite effective when healthy, though, and that should be more than enough to have a number of teams bidding for his services and thus driving his price up.

Potential landing spots: Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears

Andre Smith

Height: 6'4"
Weight: 325 lbs.
Age: 29

The Bengals will move forward with Andrew Whitworth and the two tackles selected at the top of last year's draft, ensuring that Smith will be looking for a new home in 2016. When healthy, he can still be a dominant power-blocking force on the right side. He'll have value for plenty of teams around the league, and particular those with offenses built upon a strong running game.

Potential landing spots: Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, Indianapolis Colts

Mitchell Schwartz

Height: 6'5"
Weight: 320 lbs.
Age: 26

Schwartz is one of the more interesting names on the free-agent market this year. He may not be in the top tier of available tackles, but some continued development has seen him emerge as a rock-solid option on the right side. Teams now need strong pass-protectors on both sides of the line, and Schwartz's strong performance against Von Miller this year should go a long way toward earning him a lucrative long-term deal.

Potential landing spots: Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans, San Francisco 49ers

Kelvin Beachum

Height: 6'5"
Weight: 320 lbs.
Age: 26

Beachum missed the last 10 games of the 2015 season after suffering a torn ACL in Week 6. Though his medicals will become a more crucial part of his evaluations as a result, the timing of the injury should have him on track for training camp. Beachum had proven himself as a top-tier pass-protector the year prior, and he has the versatility to line up at any other position up front.

Potential landing spots: Pittsburgh Steelers, Carolina Panthers, San Diego Chargers

Guards/centers

Kelechi Osemele

Height: 6'5"
Weight: 330 lbs.
Age: 26

Osemele is a Pro Bowl-caliber player at guard. He and Marshal Yanda have been one of the NFL's top interior tandems for several years running. Having stepped in and produced at left tackle late in the 2015 season, however, Osemele is also bound to get some looks at that spot in free agency. Such a development could send his market value through the roof.

Potential landing spots: Baltimore Ravens, Tennessee Titans, New York Giants

Alex Mack

Height: 6'4"
Weight: 311 lbs.
Age: 30

Mack's contract doesn't expire at the beginning of the new league year, but he's widely expected to exercise an opt-out clause to become an unrestricted free agent. Whether he ends up elsewhere will depend on the offer the Browns make to retain him. Either way, as one of the league's top centers, he'll be certain to draw plenty of interest.

Potential landing spots: Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Rams

Brandon Brooks

Height: 6'5"
Weight: 335 lbs.
Age: 26

Brooks boasts both an imposing frame and the necessary movement skills to have thrived as part of the Texans' zone-blocking scheme. Young players with that ability simply don't become available all that often. It shouldn't come as a surprise if the bidding process gets started in a hurry and the Texans are unable to re-sign him as a result.

Potential landing spots: Houston Texans, Atlanta Falcons, Kansas City Chiefs

Richie Incognito

Height: 6'3"
Weight: 319 lbs.
Age: 32

There may not have been a more surprisingly effective player than Incognito in 2015. Making his return to the league after the well-documented bullying issues in Miami, Incognito responded with what was quite easily the best football of his career. A return to Buffalo makes plenty of sense, but the team's cap issues could give him the opportunity to first field some other offers.

Potential landing spots: Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts, San Francisco 49ers

Alex Boone

Height: 6'8"
Weight: 300 lbs.
Age: 28

If the talent among this year's offensive line group pushes Boone to the second or third tier of free agency, it's safe to say one team is going to have themselves a steal. The six-year veteran remains a strong interior run blocker, and he should thrive in moving on from the unfavorable situation in San Francisco this past year.

Potential landing spots: Cleveland Browns, Oakland Raiders, Indianapolis Colts
