The Denver Nuggets will be without forward Danilo Gallinari for at least the next two weeks, head coach Mike Malone told reporters Sunday.
Gallinari sustained an ankle injury during the Nuggets' loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday. The Italian sharpshooter didn't sound optimistic about the prognosis.
"It's worse than the one I had just two months ago," Gallinari said, referring to the ankle injury that forced him to miss six games in late December.
The 27-year-old Gallinari leads the Nuggets in scoring (19.5) and 3-point makes (87). He's enjoying a career year after struggling through knee injuries for the past two seasons.
