Daniel Bryan announces retirement
Daniel Bryan is stepping away from the squared circle.
The 34-year-old WWE Superstar, who's been fighting his way back to action after suffering a concussion in April, announced his retirement from wrestling Monday, and will give details during tonight's episode of "Raw."
Due to medical reasons, effective immediately, I am announcing my retirement. Tonight on Raw, I'll have a chance to elaborate. #gratitude

Bryan's career has long been plagued with injury.
After earning the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 30 on April 6, 2014, he underwent neck surgery on May 15, forcing him to relinquish his title and sidelining the high-flier for almost a year.
Then, at WrestleMania 31 on March 29, 2015, Bryan claimed the Intercontinental Championship before again having to drop the title due to the aforementioned concussion.
While there's always the possibility of this being a swerve, Bryan's injury history lends credence to the veracity of the announcement.
Given that tonight's "RAW" emanates from Seattle, Wash. - just a couple hours from Bryan's hometown of Aberdeen - the "Yes!" chants may be deafening inside Key Arena.
