Dynamic Duos: Young, Fiery Flames Will Continue Canuck Domination

Candice Ward / USA Today

C Sean Monahan & W Johnny Gaudreau, Flames (at Canucks)

While the Flames continue to inch their way into the playoffs, the dynamic duo of Gaudreau and Monahan have combined for six points in two games against the Canucks this year.

Vancouver continues its struggles in between the pipes, sporting a 2.71 goals against average. That average is better than Calgary's, which sports a 2.94 GAA. There will be plenty of goals to go around on Saturday night at Rogers Arena, though Gaudreau and Monahan are the safest plays.

C Nathan MacKinnon & C/W Matt Duchene, Avalanche (vs. Jets)

Surprisingly, the Avalanche are ranked 10th among NHL teams in terms of offense, scoring 2.70 goals per game. Most of the success has come from the sticks of Duchene and MacKinnon - who're tied with 42 points.

The Jets haven't been able to recreate the magic of last year's playoff run due to injuries in between the pipes, which has made Winnipeg the victim of many one-sided scoring affairs.

Duchene has four points (2G, 2A) in three games against the Jets this season while his linemate, MacKinnon, has just one helper over three games.

C David Krejci & W Loui Eriksson, Bruins (vs. Sabres)

Instead of builing your lineup around one of the most efficient scoring lines in the league, why not center it around the best secondary-scoring unit?

When healthy, Krejci and Eriksson are a lethal combination at even strength and on the power play. The two Bruins forwards come at very affordable prices and with their plum matchup against the heinous Sabres defense, DFS players won't have to go out on a limb to roster both of them.
