Report: Seahawks' Okung to undergo shoulder surgery

Seattle Seahawks left tackle Russell Okung emailed all NFL teams Wednesday to inform them he will undergo surgery to repair a dislocated left shoulder, CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports.

Okung is a pending free agent, so it's in his best interest to make sure all teams are up to date on his medical status prior to hitting the open market.

In the email, Okung said he expects to be fully cleared to return in five months, which puts him on track to be ready for the start of training camp.

A first-round pick of the Seahawks in 2010, Okung has missed at least two games in every season of his career.
