The New Orleans Pelicans were without two of their top scorers on Thursday night when they played host to the Sacramento Kings.

Both Anthony Davis (concussion) and Tyreke Evans (knee soreness) will be out of the lineup for the Pelicans.

Davis left Monday's narrow 112-111 loss to the Houston Rockets after taking an elbow shot to the face from Evans while going up for a rebound. He was eventually diagnosed with a concussion.

It was the sixth game this season the 22-year-old All-Star forward sat out. He's missed 14 or more games every year he's been in the league since being selected first overall by the franchise in 2012.

He's currently averaging a double-double of 22.9 points and 10.2 rebounds on 49.2 percent shooting. Davis also ranks third in the league in blocks per game (2.41).

Evans has dealt with tendinitis in his knee for a while now, with a recent MRI confirming that he has no structural damage, according to NOLA.com's John Reid.

'"I just felt it in front of my knee cap, a sharp pain,'' Evans said following the loss to Houston. "Just going to wait and see, ice it and do some stem work. (Coach Alvin Gentry) knows I want to play. If I don't play, he knows that it's really bothering me."
