The Los Angeles Clippers addressed the Blake Griffin situation Monday afternoon, condemning the weekend incident that left star forward Blake Griffin with a broken hand after punching a team trainer.

Griffin sustained the injury by hitting Matias Testi - a team equipment manager - outside a Toronto restaurant, sources told ESPN's Michael Eaves.

The NBA is investigating the incident, according to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne, which would be standard for the league in terms of off-court reports of physical violence. Memphis Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes served a two-game suspension earlier this month after a preseason altercation with New York Knicks coach Derek Fisher.
