Tuesday's Small Forward Value Rankings

Reinhold Matay-USA TODAY Sports

Here are theScore's small forward value rankings for Tuesday, January 26:

Value Rankings
PG | SG | SF | PF | C

Top Options

Name Opponent Value
Tobias Harris (ORL) at MIL 9
Chandler Parsons (DAL) at LAL 9
Giannis Antetokounmpo (MIL) vs. ORL 8
Rudy Gay (SAC) at POR 8
Robert Covington (PHI) vs. PHX 8

At small forward, more than any other position it seems, it's advised to forego the absolute top tier in pricing. Harris and Parsons, specifically, provide excellent return on investment. Parsons is coming off a game where he drained five 3-pointers and totaled 31 points. The Lakers won't cause him fits.

Best of the Rest

Name Opponent Value
P.J. Tucker (PHX) at PHI 7
Aaron Gordon (ORL) at MIL 7
Kevin Durant (OKC) at NY 7
Joe Johnson (BKN) vs. MIA 7
Derrick Williams (NY) vs. OKC 6
Bojan Bogdanovic (BKN) vs. MIA 6
Paul George (IND) vs. LAC 5
Omri Casspi (SAC) at POR 5
Justise Winslow (MIA) at BKN 5

Neither Johnson nor Bogdanovic are worthy roster choices most nights. They do make inexpensive contrarian fliers against a Heat team that has been felled by the injury bug.

George returns cash game value too infrequently to be worthy of the roster spot despite how well he has played. Durant hovers around, and occasionally surpasses, expectations, but it's often a safer bet to go cheaper.

Nothing to See Here

Name Opponent Value
Carmelo Anthony (NY) vs. OKC 4
C.J. Miles (IND) vs. LAC 3
Luol Deng (MIA) at BKN 3
Otto Porter (WAS) at TOR 3
Paul Pierce (LAC) at IND 3
Al-Farouq Aminu (POR) vs. SAC 2

Anthony (hip) has been upgraded to probable, but it's better to simply stay away with enough healthy options available.
