The last time a Penguins player accomplished the feat against the Canucks was 29 years ago to the day.

Malkin scored twice in a span of 3:06 in the third period, helping Pittsburgh rally from a two-goal deficit to tie the game.

Eric Fehr gave Pittsburgh a 4-3 lead less than three minutes later, and Sidney Crosby added an empty-netter to make it 5-3.

Canucks forward Jannik Hansen picked up his second career hat trick with 17 seconds left, but the Penguins held on for a 5-4 victory, earning their third win in the last four games.
