Enough is enough: United fans call for Van Gaal's head after loss to Southampton
Manchester United put supporters to sleep. Again. That wouldn't be particularly problematic had the Red Devils been able to collect three points in Saturday's fixture against Southampton. Winning boring is still winning.
Losing boring, however, is a problem at Old Trafford.
A late header by debutant Charlie Austin gave the Saints a 1-0 win, a result that leaves United five points adrift of the final Champions League place, and heaps more pressure on under-fire boss Louis van Gaal, who's been walking on thin ice for what seems like months.
If the fans had their way, the Dutch tactician would have been shown his walking papers as he left the pitch on Saturday.
