VIDEO: Erik Karlsson sends Nick Leddy flying

Marc DesRosiers-USA TODAY Sports

With 49 points in 47 games entering Friday's contest, Ottawa Senators captain Erik Karlsson is certainly better known for his scoring than his hitting. That doesn't mean the two-time Norris Trophy winner can't throw his body around, though.

Karlsson caught New York Islanders defenseman Nick Leddy, who scored the game's first goal minutes earlier, with his head down and sent him flying near the Senators' blue line.

Karlsson would pick up his 50th point of the season in the second period, assisting on a Bobby Ryan goal that tied the game at one.
