Report: Packers fire running backs coach Sam Gash amid Lacy weight concerns

The Green Bay Packers have fired running backs coach Sam Gash, according to Michael Cohen of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The move comes on the heels of head coach Mike McCarthy saying running back Eddie Lacy needed to lose weight after a disappointing 2015 season.
Gash only spent two seasons with the Packers after coaching the Detroit Lions running backs from 2008-12.
"I just apologize that I didn't, I guess, get the job done." Gash told Cohen on Tuesday. "And that's totally on me. You just live and learn from every situation that you're in. I'm living and I've learned a lot. That's all. I think the organization is great."
