The Montreal Canadiens aren't shying away from their latest controversy.

One day after Alex Galchenyuk and Devante Smith-Pelly were summoned to the general manager's office to address the latter's girlfriend's arrest in a domestic dispute, head coach Michel Therrien had the two skating on the same line at practice.

The two have only sparingly been used together this season, but there's reason for their deployment together. Max Pacioretty was absent from practice for maintenance, opening up top-six rushes down the wing.

Galchenyuk briefly spoke after practice, issuing this apologetic statement via TVA's Renaud Lavoie, "I feel bad for my teammates, the organization and for the fans."
