The Detroit Red Wings placed defenseman Jakub Kindl on waivers Saturday, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.
Kindl has been a healthy scratch in each of the past four games. He has two goals and three assists in 23 contests this season.
Kindl has until noon Sunday to clear waivers. If he does, he'll be assigned to Grand Rapids. Move was needed to clear cap space for Quincey.

The 28-year-old has two years remaining on his contract with an average cap hit of $2.4 million.
