Jonathan Drouin's a minor leaguer. At least, he will be very shortly.

The Tampa Bay Lightning forward, whose agent went public Sunday with a trade request placed in November, is on his way to the American Hockey League's Syracuse Crunch.

Julien BriseBois is the Crunch's general manager, and assistant general manager of the Lightning.

Drouin, who went straight from junior hockey to the NHL, has played two games in the AHL, recording a goal and two assists. He'll look to add to that total beginning Friday, when the Crunch play the first of three straight games.

The 20-year-old, drafted third overall in 2013, will practice with his new team Tuesday.
