The New Jersey Devils remain without their leading scorer.
Mike Cammalleri, lighting it up with 14 goals and 21 assists in 38 games, won't play Monday against the Detroit Red Wings, head coach John Hynes announced, according to The Record's Tom Gulitti. The forward remains day to day with an upper-body injury and will visit a doctor, Hynes added.
The Devils have won three in a row, but remain offensively challenged, their 2.3 goals per game ranking 27th in the NHL.
Cammalleri's 35 points place him 13th in league scoring, and New Jersey's in a world of trouble if he's out for an extended period.
