A trip to Alberta didn't fix the Anaheim Ducks' scoring woes, but thankfully John Gibson was up to the task.

For the second game in a row, the Ducks beat a team from Alberta by a score of 1-0, with Gibson keeping the Edmonton Oilers completely at bay after shutting out the Calgary Flames on Dec. 29.

Gibson made 21 saves against Edmonton after stopping 14 shots by Calgary two nights before.

The Ducks' offense came courtesy of Ryan Getzlaf, who managed to fire the puck past a goalie for only the second time all season.

With the win, Gibson improved his season record to 7-4-2, with an incredible four shutouts in 12 starts.
