Monday's Power Forward Value Rankings

Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

Here are theScore's power forward value rankings for Monday's nine-game slate.

Top Options

Name Opponent Value
LaMarcus Aldridge (SA) vs. IND 8
Marvin Williams (CHA) at HOU 8
Paul Millsap (ATL) vs. POR 8
Blake Griffin (LAC) vs. OKC 7
David Lee (BOS) vs. MIN 7

As a result of the Spurs' frequent blowouts, Aldridge only averages 29 minutes, keeping his DFS price down. He's still putting up 16 points and nine rebounds nightly, and should be able to take advantage of an Indiana team that favors small ball.

Williams has been a reliable contributor, averaging close to a double-double, and should be able to see an uptick in production in an encounter with the fast-paced, defensively-suspect Rockets.

Millsap and Griffin consistently provide support in nearly every category, with Millsap the better value due his much lower price.

Lee may draw the start if Amir Johnson (plantar fasciitis) sits out, boosting his normal 15-minute-per-game workload.

Best of the Rest

Name Opponent Value
Thaddeus Young (BKN) at CHI 7
DeMarcus Cousins (SAC) at WAS 7
Derrick Favors (UTA) vs. PHX 7
Jordan Hill (IND) at SA 7
Kyle O'Quinn (NY) vs. ORL 7
Serge Ibaka (OKC) at LAC 6
Andrew Nicholson (ORL) at NY 6
Trevor Booker (UTA) vs. POR 6
Cody Zeller (CHA) at HOU 6
Jon Leuer (PHX) at UTA 6
Kristaps Porzingis (NY) vs. ORL 5

Cousins has the highest ceiling of anyone at the position but is almost prohibitively expensive - though does have an nice matchup against Washington's depleted frontcourt.

Hill has double-doubles off the bench in his last two games and may see more time than usual against San Antonio's twin towers of Aldridge and Tim Duncan.

O'Quinn doesn't see a ton of playing time off the bench, but is almost always productive, though his upside is obviously limited. Porzingis is still providing support in nearly every secondary category, but his scoring is way down, having failed to hit double-digits in three of his last six games.

Nothing to See Here

Name Opponent Value
Taj Gibson (CHI) vs. BKN 5
Nikola Mirotic (CHI) vs. BKN 5
Donatas Motiejunas (HOU) vs. CHA 4
Terrence Jones (HOU) vs. CHA 4

Gibson starts but typically doesn't see more than 20 minutes, while Mirotic has been in a funk of late, totaling only 10 points in his last three games.

Motiejunas and Jones cannibalize each other's minutes in backup roles.
