Here are theScore's winger value rankings for Sunday's six-game slate.
Top Options
| Name | Opponent | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Mike Hoffman (OTT) | at TB | 7 |
| Artemi Panarin (CHI) | vs. SJ | 7 |
| Gustav Nyquist (DET) | vs. CGY | 7 |
Hoffman hasn't scored since netting twice on Monday, but still fired seven shots in two games since then and is very much underpriced given his average fantasy points per game. Tampa Bay has also given up nine goals in its last two games.
With Patrick Kane seemingly assured of getting on the score sheet every night, his linemate Panarin makes a much better value play, with the rookie finding his form again with points in consecutive games.
Nyquist has cooled off somewhat after a seven-points-in-five-games streak, but has a favorable matchup against a Flames team that, despite some recent success, still has the league's second-worst save percentage and will be playing its third road game in four nights.
Best of the Rest
| Name | Opponent | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Alex Killorn (TB) | vs. OTT | 6 |
| Brad Marchand (BOS) | vs. NJ | 6 |
| Johnny Gaudreau (CGY) | at DET | 6 |
| Kyle Palmieri (NJ) | at BOS | 6 |
| Nikita Kucherov (TB) | vs. OTT | 6 |
| Patrick Kane (CHI) | vs. SJ | 5 |
| Alexander Ovechkin (WAS) | at NYR | 5 |
| T.J. Oshie (WAS) | at NYR | 5 |
Killorn may not have a top-line role, but does have a three-game point streak, shoots almost twice a game, and doesn't need much to return value on his low price.
Marchand is on an offensive tear by his standards, having registered five points in as many games, along with 22 shots.
Oshie's been boom-or-bust of late, with two games of three or more points coming after a long pointless stretch. Along with linemate Ovechkin, Oshie could certainly explode, but isn't likely to do so against Henrik Lundqvist.
Nothing to See Here
| Name | Opponent | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Frank Vatrano (BOS) | vs. NJ | 4 |
| Daniel Sedin (VAN) | at FLA | 4 |
| Jaromir Jagr (FLA) | vs. VAN | 4 |
| Rick Nash (NYR) | vs. WAS | 3 |
Vatrano is coming off a hat trick against Pittsburgh's Jeff Zatkoff, but will find it tougher going against Cory Schneider. That outburst represented his first points in nine games.
Warning: Sedin may be without his brother Henrik for a second consecutive game Sunday. Flying solo, Daniel failed to register a point Friday.
