Note to Frankie Edgar: When calling out Conor McGregor on Instagram, use an easier to read font.

Echoing recent sentiments made by his coach, Mark Henry, Edgar suggested the newly minted featherweight kingpin was scared to step into the Octagon with him, referring to McGregor's desire to face the winner of Donald Cerrone-Rafael dos Anjos at UFC on FOX 17 on Saturday night.

Do I make you nervous? You had a choice in the summer me or Chad and you picked Chad. Now you're looking to fight someone else once again. If you're scared get a dog bro, If not let's make this happen @thenotoriousmma @danawhiteufc @lorenzofertitta #OnlyPitBullsRoundHere #NeverBeenFinished

Do I make you nervous? You had a choice in the summer me or Chad (Mendes) and you picked Chad. Now you're looking to fight someone else again. If you're scared get a dog bro, if not let's make this happen.

With his dramatic dusting of Mendes at the TUF 22 Finale last week, Edgar established himself as the clear No. 1 contender at 145 pounds. Alas, the cruel machinations of fight promotion may stall any potential championship fight, as not only is McGregor entertaining a lightweight title bout, but there's always the possibility of a Jose Aldo rematch muddying up the featherweight waters.
